Rockburn Winemaker's Dinner

Join us at Somm as we host Malcolm Rees-Francis, winemaker at Rockburn Wines, for a special one-night-only dinner.

This intimate dinner will feature four courses, each thoughtfully paired with a Rockburn wine, including the celebrated Rockburn Amber, named Best Orange Wine in Metro’s Top 50 Wines to Drink This Summer.

As you dine, Malcolm will share the stories and philosophy behind every glass, from Central Otago’s rugged terroir to the award-winning wines it inspires.

From rural Waimate to the heart of Central Otago winemaking, Malcolm’s journey has been anything but ordinary. With a background in microbiology, he honed his craft at Felton Road before taking the helm at Rockburn in 2005. Over nearly two decades, Malcolm has shaped Rockburn’s elegant, expressive style and helped establish it as one of New Zealand’s most awarded Pinot Noir producers.
